New Delhi : Brijesh Srivastava.  On 8th & 9th Dec 2024, Couture Runway Week (CRW) Season 7 concluded with resounding success, embracing the spirit of creativity, legacy, and fashion. The prestigious event commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting by the esteemed Guest of Honour, Shri Sanjay Rai, Secretary of the Harijan Sevak Sangh, an organization established by the legendary Mahatma Gandhi. His presence set an inspiring tone for what would become an unforgettable evening.

The Chief Guest, Sh. Laxmi Dass Ji, former Chairman of the Khadi Commission and the current Vice Chairman of the Harijan Sevak Sangh, along with his notable roles as Chairman of the Kangra Cooperative Bank and President of the National Federation of Urban Cooperative Banks, graced the event with his invaluable insights into sustainable fashion.

The grandeur of CRW Season 7 was beautifully highlighted by a spectacular opening showcase created by iconic Gandhian fab designers Amin Farista and Abhishek Vashistha, who paid heartfelt tribute to Abhishek’s mother, embodying the essence of family, tradition, and craftsmanship through their designs.

The audience was mesmerized by a stunning sequence of garments from celebrated designers, including SOHUM Attires and Ritivesh by Ritika Agarwal. The highlight of Ritivesh’s presentation was the radiant celebrity showstopper, Rashmi Gupta, who illuminated the runway in a breathtaking evening gown, showcasing intricate design elements and luxurious fabrics that celebrated contemporary femininity.

Following this, designer Alok Aggarwal captivated the audience with his exquisite “Satrangi” collection, enriched by vibrant colors and traditional techniques, highlighted by the remarkable celebrity showstopper Mohit Parmar. The evening continued with the eco-conscious showcase from Eco Threads, presenting their exquisite collection of Baluchuri sarees that elegantly fused traditional artistry with modern aesthetics.

The event reached its pinnacle with a patriotic presentation created by Sanjay Mittal, President of the Delhi Chandi Warq Association, who embodied Indian heritage as he graced the runway as showstopper , organizer Aarti Tiwari also graced this sequence by her patriotic walk. This segment powerfully illustrated the enduring significance of sarees from Eco Threads, celebrating India's rich cultural tapestry.

Couture Runway Week Season 7 was not just a fashion show; it was a celebration of our artistic traditions and a reaffirmation of the power of design and craftsmanship. The organizing team worked diligently to curate an event that not only showcased the talent of emerging and established designers but also honored our cultural roots.
